Too much stress and disease are directly related. People under chronic stress get more chronic and severe viral infections. Too much stress has also been linked to: Accelerated aging, Anxiety, Depression, Digestive problems, Heart disease, Sleep problems, Weight gain, Memory and concentration impairment.
My focus during treatments is to identify and address the physical and chemical imbalances in the body that are impeding its ability to heal. Two therapies that have been essential to my patients’ health improvements are dry needling and cold laser therapy.
Dry Needling is a technique that uses acupuncture needles to stimulate the body's natural healing mechanisms both locally and systemically. Dry Needling has been applied clinically to help resolve a wide variety of sport and non-sport related injuries, pain syndromes, and other soft tissue dysfunctions in their acute and chronic stages.
What is my real age? There is now a test to determine with good accuracy your biologic age vs your chronological age through measuring telomere length. Telomeres are “caps” on the end of our DNA, they protect DNA from damage during cell replication. As our cells age the telomeres shorten. When the telomeres get too short the cell can no longer replicate and dies. You can now test your telomere length to determine if you are aging at a “normal” rate or accelerated rate.
